Shame on you Nintendo.
Supply and demand are such harsh mistresses.
If you may haven't guessed, I am on the quest for the exclusive Wii...only to be found....randomly in stores. And....nothing tells these stores that they can only sell them during store hours either. My favorite tactic is (that I see online a lot) is that suppliers that sell Wiis will make them bundled....which can backfire if you only have the money for the Wii itself. Being slightly poor for just more than a Wii is probably a harsher mistress.
I have currently called:
Meiyer
Target
Walmart
Toys R' Us
Gamestop
Disc Replay
Best Buy
Fry's Electronics
And so far nothing. Fry's didn't respond to a call, Meiyer was getting more in exactly a week, Target was out, Walmart (the notorious online store that had unseperatable bundles with the Wii) was out, Toys R' Us and Gamestop both allow early buys before store hours, Disc Replay is a sad, sad store right now, and Best Buy is pranked by the UPS often...and gets Wiis in at random times on random days. E-bay....Wiis go for about $50 more than the recommended $250. That in MMORPG terms makes a great sell when you get a newbie that buys the thing...not realizing that he could have gone to an NPC store and bought it for less.
So...I can wait a week....or until Sunday when Gamestop will have some in. This week has no meaning to me now.
Oh...and since I haven't made a new post in forever, here's the recap:
-Snow, lots of it.
-I am in college now.
-I hate the things leading to my major, forcing me to change it. To what....I don't know yet. I still want to do something with technology.
